COB AMA Marketing Students outside

The American Marketing Association of CSULB is a student-led organization focused on connecting students and alumni with opportunities in the marketing world.

The California State University, Long Beach Chapter is one of 323 active collegiate chapters of AMA across the United States and internationally, including Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. Nationally ranked in the top 25 chapters, Long Beach AMA continues to work hard for its members.

Part of their mission is to provide professional and social development to students of all majors and backgrounds to grow within an inclusive environment. They supply resources that are unique from the traditional classroom setting, in the hopes of creating a supportive and open space for individuals seeking to discover their potential. They generate these opportunities through guest speaker appearances, firm tours, educational workshops, social events, philanthropic events, and more.

Chapter leaders and competition teams at CSULB take on the pressures of managing a student club to their already demanding academic pursuits, often balancing internships and part-time employment. AMA OC aims to alleviate some of the financial pressures these students face and support with scholarships to cover books, fees, and collegiate dues, as well as support the collegiate chapter’s quest towards excellence by funding part of their travel expenses to leadership summits and end-of-year AMA Collegiate competitions.
